Saturday

spooky saturday film

spring's a moody lady - it got a bit hazy and cold today, brrrrt! after the morning rain the yard is full of white petals that fall from blooming fruit trees. they really do look like snowflakes.

I don't know why, but first thing I thought of when I got up today was this movie. well, maybe it was because of the colours outside or the spooky peaceful atmosphere around. bennett miller's 'capote' with absolutely exquisite philip seymour hoffman is definitely one of my favourite movies from the last decade. I'm sure the majority of you have seen it and who hasn't should put it on a 'to watch' list!

have a great weekend! and don't get scared with the pictures;)

ha! it seems that I'm not the only one fighting spring sleepiness and that our club is much bigger and sleepy than I thought. not that I like the idea that others are suffering too, but I'm defenitelly happy not to be alone:)

today I have something easy, breezy (and cheesy!) that should at least a little help you fight the desperate need of jumping into some blankets - it's an absolute must-watch when you're brainwashed and sleepy. 'footloose'! oh, what can be better than rebelious youth, butt shakin', loud music, crazy 80. haircuts, all cooked well in the atmosphere of an american small town, with pretty skinny girls eating loads of fast food, teenagers driving their cars and an evil local minister banning dancing and rock music! it's classic, like 'godfather'.
if you're still not convinced, let me use the phrase from the poster: 'he's a big-city kid in a small town. they said he'd never win. he knew, he had to.'

you know, you have to.

"Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown."

ha! the blogger platform celebrated its feral friday the 13th a day earlier - all texts and pictures posted yesterday on blogspot blogs got misteriously sucked into the great internet inferno. words in all possible languages melt in tar into one huge tower of bloggerbabel...

no wonder yesterday I put some stuff about polański's chinatown - a cursed director diserves a cursed day. bless you mr. polańki - whoever you wanna be blessed by!

enjoy!
